In 2006, the college chartered a team to develop a Colleague Quality Assurance Program (CQAP) to address the need for new employees to gain access to the system at the time they begin employment and receive the training necessary to do their work as part of their orientation to Columbus State.  In addition the project needed to address the ongoing need to review and train existing employees on new functionality as well as existing functionality to maintain quality assurance over business processes associated with Colleague (e.g., registration, fee payment, financial aid, person/record creation, assignment contracts, purchasing, etc.). 

 Colleague Quality Assurance Program Goals:

Develop a Colleague training process.

Implement a pilot test of training materials, delivery methods,
and a training model.

Improve HR workflow for new employees and employees leaving the college.

Improve intake and exit process in HEAT system.

Develop security categories and classifications by job title and list of competencies by security category.

Identify Colleague Functional Experts/Trainers and assist them in developing training course.

Update and post training manuals.
