Columbus State team participates in AQIP Strategy Forum

At the Strategy Forum are, from left, Carmen Daniels, Allysen Todd, Kelly Weir, Jennifer Anderson, Bruce Massis, President Harrison, David Tom, and Diane Walleser.

The Columbus State team, led by President David Harrison, traveled to St. Charles, Illinois last week to attend the Strategy Forum sponsored by the Higher Learning Commission, the college's accrediting agency.

Held once every four years, the Strategy Forum is central to the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) method of accreditation because it brings together teams from AQIP colleges and universities in a supportive workshop environment to generate new strategies and tactics for institutional improvement.

Joining teams from 19 other colleges and universities, the Forum also provides opportunities for institutional teams to give and receive constructive feedback on their quality systems as well as input on specific projects that would evolve into a formal AQIP action project.  Participants had an opportunity to communicate during a "share fair," where teams networked with others. The Columbus State team members plan to present their work at various events and venues in the near future.
