Welcome to Summer Semester!

campus scene

The steamy temperatures certainly signal the start of summer, and with a slight 1.24 percent increase in enrollment bringing student numbers to 15,231, things are heating up this first day of the term. Expect some parking snafus as students realize the construction on Jefferson Avenue has blocked their access to parking on the east side of the Columbus Campus. Plenty of parking exists on lots bordering Spring Street, Mt. Vernon and Cleveland avenues, and the parking garage, however it may take a few days for students to acclimate to a routine.

And remember, if you usually park on the east side of campus (Employee lots 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9E) and you need to exit onto Spring Street or go south on Cleveland Avenue, you should park in any lot bordering Spring Street or the garage until the first phase of the construction is done.

The University Transfer Database – Your feedback is needed

As part of the Title III - Strengthening Institutions grant, the college created a University Transfer and Articulation Database.  This summer, Title III staff will work to improve and update the database, based on thoughts, feedback, and suggestions from the college community.

A survey has been created to gather input and feedback from Columbus State advisors, staff, faculty and administrators. The survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete. Please let us know what we can to do to improve this important tool.  And please pass it along to your teams. Their input is so appreciated. The survey is online here:
