Theatre Columbus State presents “It Can’t Happen Here” July 18-21

The dark satire “It Can’t Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis shows how a fragile democracy in the United State could turn to fascism when a demagogue becomes president. The plot is built around the argument that journalism is a pillar of democracy. Adapted by Tony Taccone and Bennett S. Cohen. Theatre Columbus State will perform the play nightly at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 18 through Saturday, July 21 in the Nestor Hall Auditorium. An additional matinee will be performed at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19. Admission is free.
