Nursing at Columbus State

The Nursing Department offers a number of affordable, quality ways to get you into the Health Care field.

Columbus State's Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree (A.D.N.) prepares our graduates to provide direct care to clients with common health problems in a variety of settings. After successful completion of the five-semester program, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam.

The Practical Nurse Program is a part-time evening and weekend program designed to prepare graduates to provide health care to clients of various ages in a variety of health care settings. The part-time program is designed as a career path for entry-level patient care providers.

This one-class certificate (NURC 1001) qualifies students to take the nurse aide state test in Ohio. State testing is a requirement for our nursing programs.

We offer a number of certificates aimed at students who either want to enter the health care field, or for nurses who want to expand their credentials.
