Sharita Charlton - Logistics of Life

Sharita Charlton was a homeless mother before she found Columbus State's LogisticsART program, which trains people for entry-level positions in supply chain management. Now she's able to provide for her family.

"It makes me feel proud of myself," Charlton says. "It makes me feel reborn again."

Funded by a Department of Labor grant, LogisticsART (Attracting & Retaining Talent) was designed to train the workers companies need now. Although many Central Ohioans are out of work, businesses still have trouble finding people with the right skills. Columbus State, through its Community Education and Workforce Development division, is working to fill that critical skills gap.

In addition to LogisticsART, Columbus State also offers a degree and certificate programs in Supply Chain Management.
