, left, and Scot Durbin, both completed the 102-mile trip to Athens this weekend in the annual Pelotonia bicycle tour to raise money for cancer research. Both work in Communication Technologies and PC Services.

President Harrison takes the stage last Friday to welcome participants to a Tutoring Professional Development conference, hosted in the Conference Center Ballroom, WD 435, by Title III and the Tutoring Advisory Committee at Columbus State.


Reminder: Volunteer for Community Care Day – coming soon!
logoOn Tuesday, September 14, Columbus State will participate in the United Way's "Community Care Day," central Ohio's largest one-day volunteer outreach event.

Columbus State volunteers will work at the Neighborhood House, which is located very close to Columbus State's Columbus Campus in the King-Lincoln District at 1000 Atcheson St. Fifteen volunteers are needed for an indoor painting project.

The time commitment for serving as part of Columbus State's team is a half day from 8 a.m. to noon, or a full day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please contact Barbara Smith-Allen in Institutional Advancement at or call ext. 5433 no later than Friday, September 3, to volunteer.

A student employee can bring flexibility, energy, and much-needed assistance to you and your customers. In some cases, a Federal Work Study student can be hired with no cost to your department.
