Before and after borer

Ash trees

Trees gone
The beautiful ash trees that used to line the walkway east of Franklin Hall, seen in this photo from the 90s, (top) are no more, due to Emerald Ash Borer damage. The dying trees were removed from several areas of campus last week. Some pines, crab apples and serviceberry trees remain to provide meager shade.

Singing upstairs

Chorus Columbus State members took time out last Tuesday to perform a mini-concert on the steps inside the Bookstore during lunch hour. Gordon Franklin directs the Chorus and participants include students, employees and members of the community.
