Board of Trustees presented with draft resolution for Master Plan

President Harrison presents a draft of the College's new Master Plan at the recent First Wednesday held at the Delaware Campus July 3.

Last Thursday the Columbus State Board of Trustees Committee of the Whole heard President Harrison present a draft of a resolution approving the College's Master Plan. You can see the resolution draft and a PowerPoint presentation about the Master Plan online at the website:

Title III to offer symposium with three tracks 

Mark your calendar to attend the 3rd Annual Title III Professional Development Symposium, Friday, September 20 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Columbus State.  Three tracks will be offered: Articulation Database and Training, Transfer Tools and Resources; Tutoring: Ethics and Resources, Differentiating Best Practices, and TutorTrac Training; and Early Alert (FOCUS): Introduction and Training.   A detailed agenda and online registration will be available August 1. The event is supported by Columbus State’s USDOE Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant.

Special note:  Due to a schedule change at the Columbus Crew game on Saturday, July 20, Dr. Jeannette Ferguson will not be singing the National Anthem at the game.  The event was announced in an earlier issue of Update. The rescheduled date will be announced as soon as it is available.
