Lincoln Exhibition lecture, concert series continue this week

Robert Brugler, an adjunct instructor in Computer Science, is also an Abraham Lincoln presenter and a member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters.
The Library is pleased to announce the fifth in its lecture series supporting the national exhibition currently on view, "Lincoln, The Constitution and the Civil War." The lecture is titled, "Gettysburg; the Battle, the Address and the Meaning." This lecture will be given by adjunct faculty member Robert Brugler on Thursday, August 1, at 1:00 p.m. in the Multimedia Studio of the library on the 1st floor. The lecture is free to attend and all are welcome!
The Library will also offer the final concert in its series supporting the national exhibition. The concert will be presented on Tuesday, July 30 at 6:00 p.m. by The Columbus State Civil War Band. The band is led by director Thomas Lloyd. It will be presented in the Multimedia Studio of the library on the 1st floor. The concert is free to attend and all are welcome!
Meditation Room opens in Union Hall
The Office of Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (formerly Diversity and Study Abroad Programs) announces the opening of a new meditation room, in Union Hall Room 139 (Copper Room), which was developed in response to students’ requests. Though the initial request stemmed from Muslim students on campus who have been looking for prayer space, this room will be open for all of our students who need quiet time for meditation and reflection.

College entrance at Grove and Cleveland Ave to close Aug. 2
The Columbus Crossroads Project has announced that the Grove Street entrance to campus will close beginning Friday, August 2. Those traveling southbound on Cleveland Ave. or exiting from I-670 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. will have to travel south to Long Street, turn left and enter campus on either Washington Ave. or Jefferson Ave.
The crosswalk at Grove St. will also be closed. Grove St. next to the Center for Workforce Development will remain open.
All lanes on Cleveland Ave. and the campus entrance at Grove St. are expected to reopen by August 16.
Annual Reviews due July 31
Annual Reviews for full-time employees are due to Human Resources by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. All forms and information needed to complete the Annual Reviews can be found here: http://www.cscc.edu/about/hcd/performs/review.shtml

Deadline for Employee and Dependent Fee Waivers is August 6
The deadline for Employee/Dependent Fee Waivers for Autumn Semester 2013 is Tuesday, August 6. A Request for Fee Waiver form must be turned into Human Resources by 4:30 p.m. to guarantee that fee waivers will be processed before late fees are assessed.
