Crites earns master’s degree
HeatherHeather Crites, Web Developer from the Distance Education and Instructional Support (DEIS) Division, earned her master’s degree in early August this year. She received a Master of Education in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform from the University of Illinois, Department of Educational Psychology. The program included courses on advanced instructional technologies, learning and human development, and instructional design. Crites’ supervisor Suzanne Patzer says “Heather has been a valuable member of the Distance Education division for ten years, moving from a part-time position to being a fulltime Web Developer, and being awarded Staff Employee of the Year in 2010. She will use her new knowledge and skills as she continues to work with faculty to enhance online courses and ensure our distance learning system operates smoothly.”

Reminder: 50th Anniversary group photo is August 30

The 50th Anniversary Group Photo will be taken on Friday, August 30, outside by the statue at 1:00 p.m.  We will also hand out 50th anniversary t-shirts prior to the actual photograph, starting at noon. At 1:00 p.m. we hope to have everyone standing in position for the photograph, which will only take a few minutes.  You may also pick up a shirt after the photo is taken!  Don’t miss it!
