Crites earns master’s degree
Heather Crites, Web Developer from the Distance Education and Instructional Support (DEIS) Division, earned her master’s degree in early August this year. She received a Master of Education in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform from the University of Illinois, Department of Educational Psychology. The program included courses on advanced instructional technologies, learning and human development, and instructional design. Crites’ supervisor Suzanne Patzer says “Heather has been a valuable member of the Distance Education division for ten years, moving from a part-time position to being a fulltime Web Developer, and being awarded Staff Employee of the Year in 2010. She will use her new knowledge and skills as she continues to work with faculty to enhance online courses and ensure our distance learning system operates smoothly.”
